Cadillac is pursuing an aggressive pricing strategy with the new 2016 Cadillac CT6 luxury sedan, which has a starting price of just $54,49.
This fact will significantly undercut the cost of similarly sized sedans like the Lexus LS, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and the BMW 7 Series, all of which carry starting prices well above $70,000. Though Cadillac has not yet provided detailed information about the entire CT6 range, options like active safety features and the unique 34-speaker Bose Panaray audio system will surely add to these bottom-line price.
The company declared that the top CT6 Platinum will cost $84,460, though it's not clear yet what equipment that trim level includes. Even that price is a relative bargain compared to the 7 Series, S-Class, and LS, though, which can easily push past $100,000 when loaded up with options.
A plug-in hybrid version of the 2016 Cadillac CT6 will follow the conventionally powered sedan by a few months. Customers can place orders for the 2016 Cadillac CT6 starting now, and deliveries will begin next March.
